Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIR) Program at BHI

Transforming Technology into Commercially Relevant Products

Bridging the gap between disruptive technological innovations and market-ready solutions is one of the biggest challenges in the life sciences sector. Many promising discoveries in universities and federal labs struggle to reach commercialization due to a lack of resources, entrepreneurial expertise, and strategic guidance. The Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR) Program at BioHealth Innovation, Inc. (BHI) is designed to address these challenges by providing the critical support needed to transform groundbreaking technologies into commercially viable products that can have a measurable impact on human health.

Our Approach

The EIRs at BHI take a hands-on approach, working closely with entrepreneurs to understand their technology, the problem they aim to solve, and the market they intend to serve. Here’s how the process works:

Initial Engagement

We start by getting to know you, the entrepreneur, and your technology. This initial phase allows both parties to assess the potential for a collaborative relationship.

During this stage, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) is signed to establish an exclusive working relationship.

Deeper Due Diligence

Following the initial engagement, we enter a consulting agreement for a defined period. This phase, often referred to as the “courting phase,” involves a thorough evaluation of the technology’s commercial potential, the market landscape, and the strategic plan. Both you and the EIR work together to refine the commercialization strategy and assess the feasibility of moving forward.

Formal Client Agreement

Upon successful completion of the courting phase, we formalize the relationship with a client agreement. From this point onward, we operate as a unified team, fully committed to your success. BHI supports you in making key connections, refining commercial strategies, pitching to potential investors, and achieving critical milestones that will propel your company to the next stage.

Supporting a Broad Spectrum of Technologies
